2. Legal Framework
We operate in full compliance with all applicable health and safety legislation including:
- Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
- Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
- Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015)
- The Work at Height Regulations 2005
- Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992
- Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH)
- Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)
- Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER)
- Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR)
3. Responsibilities
Management
- Provide adequate resources to implement this policy
- Ensure all employees receive appropriate health and safety training
- Establish and maintain safe systems of work
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments
- Investigate all accidents, incidents and near-misses
Employees
- Take reasonable care for their own safety and that of others
- Use all safety equipment and PPE correctly
- Report all accidents, incidents, near-misses and hazards immediately
- Co-operate with management on all health and safety matters
- Attend all required health and safety training
4. CDM Compliance
O'Grady Construction Ltd fulfils its duties under the CDM Regulations 2015 as Principal Contractor or subcontractor, working closely with clients, designers and other duty holders throughout the design, planning and construction phases.
