O’Grady Construction is delivering the groundworks and foundation package for the prestigious new extension to the Brindley Theatre in Runcorn — a landmark cultural venue and central element of the Reconnecting Runcorn town centre regeneration programme.
Scope of Works
- Enabling works and site preparation (commenced August 2024)
- Bulk earthworks and excavation
- Foundations and substructure construction
- Drainage installation
- External works and hard landscaping to the public realm
Project Description
The Brindley Theatre is one of Runcorn’s most cherished cultural landmarks, and its new extension forms a flagship part of the wider Reconnecting Runcorn regeneration programme. O’Grady Construction’s enabling works began in August 2024, with contracted works commencing in September 2024.
Despite complex design issues arising on site which could have resulted in delays, O’Grady Construction have been instrumental in keeping the project on track throughout, demonstrating our ability to work sensitively within a live town centre environment.
